Today we release Kisses' new song "A Groove" with great excitement, and just in time for summer. "A Groove" is the first single off the Los Angeles duo's new album, Rest in Paradise, due out later this year.
Rest in Paradise will follow Kisses' 2013 LP, Kids in L.A., as Jesse Kivel and Zinzi Edmundson's third full-length album. It was recorded in New York with the backing of Midnight Magic, bringing some of Kivel's best songs into a live and honest context, veering away from being overly stylized or synthetic.
"A Groove" is a nod to Electric Light Orchestra, as well as some classic Chic disco productions, combining sparse composition with natural instrumentation. Jesse told us, "It's a patient song that builds to a dynamic ending and a personal favorite off this new set."
